Sri Narasimhar Temple, Tirukurayalur, Sirkali 

River Manniaru, a tributary of Cauvery running between Tirukudalur and Swamimalai passes through this place before reaching the ocean. Sri Vaishnava Acharyas had praised this place as “Kurayalur fertile with perennial River Manniyaru” and “the sacred soil that gave Seer Kalian” – Kalian-Tirumangai Alwar. Great Vaishnava Gurus as Kulasekhara Alwar, Sri Ramanuja and Manavala Mamunigal had visited and worshipped the Lord in this temple.

Those mentally retarded or distressed, facing burden of debts and problems in family pray here on Ashtami (8th day from new moon or full moon days) and Swati Star days lighting ghee lamps and offer Panakam – the sweet water – to Lord as Nivedhana.

Devotees perform Tirumanjanam to Lord on getting their prayers responded.

Lord Narasimha graces in this temple with his consorts Sridevi and Bhoodevi, rarely seen in other temples. Lord Narasimha is generally shown with Sri Mahalakshmi alone. The temple is praised in the hymns of Tirumangai Alwar
