  • Each year a Pongal festival is celebrated in the month of Aadi (July-August) for two days. On the first day, water is fetched Cauvery river for abishek to the deity. The Pongal festival is celebrated the next day. During the noon time puja on Fridays, devotees come in large numbers for the grace of the deity.
