Holy Dip in Allahabad Sangam on Amavasya

Allahabad Sangam is the most happening place among the most scared and holy places in the map of Hinduism.

The Hindu religious followers from different parts of the country and foreign locations arrive at this particular holy city by Roadways, Railways and Airways for special purpose in their life. The local and native residents of the sate of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarkand and its neighboring states visit this place by walk from their house.

According to the latest reports from the district administration, over a crore devotees drop in Allahabad sangam in order to have a dip or bath on Amavasya days. This particular figure goes uncountable during the occasion of Mauni Amavasya on Monday. The confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati is largely flocked by pilgrims and devotees a day before the auspicious day and even after it. The auspicious Mauni Amavasya day is marked with religious activities from early morning to mid-part of the night in each and every corner of Allahabad’s river banks and ghats.

It is to be noted that pilgrims and devotees flock this place in order to earn “Punya”. The district administration official spokesperson said, “Bathing remained peaceful and no untoward incident was reported. Devotees from far off areas started reaching the Sangam since midnight on Sunday midnight. These pilgrims reaching here from all over the country stayed in rest rooms, satsang pandals, hotels, inns and even in open places”. The security department of the state and district keeps twenty-fours vigil on the crowd in order to avoid any unforeseen incidents.
