Ugadi 2013 date

Ugadi, also referred to as Yugadi, is the first day in Telugu Panchangam and Kannada Panchangam. It marks the beginning of Telugu and Kannada New Year.

In 2013, Ugadi date is April 11, Thursday.

Ugadi falls on the first day of bright phase of Chaitra Month.

Gudi Padwa (Marathi New Year) is also celebrated on Ugadi day.

Ugadi also marks the beginning of Chaitra Navratri (Vasant Navratri).

Ugadi Pachchadi (Bevubella), Ugadi Panchanga Shravanam (listening to Panchangam recited by Brahmin / Purohit / Pandit) are the major aspects of Ugadi festival.
